Chrome De Karma Rules
Ranks:
ICly, ranks in Chrome De Karma represent how long a wolf has been in the pack and how loyal they have shown to be. In general, the higher the rank, the more likely the wolf has been a member for a while and therefore knows the ropes a bit better and is deserving of respect. OOCly, ranks are figured by activity, or the amount of posts you have made since we last checked your post count, though IC aspects can be applied as well. An activity check is done at least once a month. The higher the activity, the bigger the promotion, while a very low number of post (or a prolonged/unannounced absence) may call for a demotion. If you are on the absentee list and are unable to post, you most likely will stay at your current rank, unless you are on the absent list consistently. Ranks can also be challenged for; however, if you are not active enough, this option may be denied for you OOCly.
Rank shuffles are done at the 1st and 30th of every month unless said otherwise by Kuma Lukarn or Kiki Lukarn.
+1 Rank 10 new posts at shuffle
Stay at Current Rank 5 new posts at shuffle
-1 Rank 4 or less new posts at shuffle
Note: Chrome De Karma ranks are unique in that members can often stay at the same rank for multiple shuffles despite having enough posts to move up. For the Loas and Genus ranks, members move up immediately if they have the 10-post requirement. From there, they move into either the Tueris, Tenens, or Fuerre ranks (one of the three) and can remain there for several shuffles; they are guaranteed the rank at least for a few shuffles, regardless if they are getting enough posts to move up or not getting enough posts to stay at the rank. Members move up only if they have consistent high post counts, and move up the tree, not sideways (i.e. Fuerre to Fuehrer, not Tenens). Fuehrer, Tutela, and Locum ranks also remain at the same rank for several shuffles, until the character proves themselves ICly worthy of the Praeas, Senex, or Nuncio ranks and have consistent high post counts. Promotions to subleader ranks are on a case-by-case basis, and while questions can be made to the leaders about them, requests to be moved to them will lessen the chances of promotion. Please note that an open subleader position does not mean the leaders are looking to fill it, and it may remain empty for an undetermined amount of time until it is needed. Leaders will of course stay at the rank until they decease.
Co-Ranks:
Co-Ranks are the talents and jobs that your character can hold in addition to their rank. Co-ranks are optional, but cannot be given to members below the rank of Tenens (if a character is demoted lower, their co-rank will be taken away accordingly, but they will have a chance to regain it if they rise up in the ranks again).Characters or players with an interest in a certain co-rank must first alert one of the leaders as to which co-rank they are trying for, then make two separate threads that include their character using talents or examples of the character using the co-rank or showing capabilities for it. After that the RPer may PM the leaders and ask for a thread where the co-rank is officially given to the character.
Chrome De Karma Member of the Month:
Similar to Member of the month, the Chrome De Karma member of the Month award is focused on what characters have been doing ICly that is worth recognition, and will base less on post count and out-of-character matters (though they are definitely a plus). Awards will be given out the beginning of each month and announced in our pack table. Winners will receive a specialized icon (unique to each month!) and a whopping 50 points towards our gamestop!
Past Winners:
None
Borders & Greeting Newcomers:
Any wolf may greet newcomers on the borders but only those with the rank of Pundit or higher may accept newcomers into the pack (after alerting one of the leaders in PM for specific permission). If you are unable to keep up with the fast pace of a joining thread, do not reply to joiners! We like to get them accepted and settled in as quickly as possible, so please only reply to joining threads if you can reply at the rate they reply at. We recommend not replying unless you can post a reply at least 1-2 times a day! Thanks!![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)
